We have observed International Women’s Day on 8th March at PRDA conference hall attaining 55 women and 5 male from different villages. Th. Bimolkumar Singh, Program Coordinator gave well come and key note address accessing that our forefather lived and used women as only tools of life, to give birth child, to served the husband and children as well as the family works. This happened more crime against the women but now a day, we need to know women is so much important in the society, in the family, to care the children, in the family economy and my question is why we did not respect the women. If you share everything in the family or in the society, you yourself accepted the tortured by the male community. In Manipur, there is Nupi Lal (Women War), Ema Keithel (Women Market), Nisha band and Meira paibi (Women group to Band Drugs and control their sons and husbands) but still under the male. You never unite yourself to defence the man. Until and unless, you did not share in the decision making, we need observed such day. W. Lata Devi, oath commissioner, Bishnupur, Mrs.Luxmi Devi, OC, Bishnupur and H.Romen Singh were the talker in the observance.
